The TTF Grant
If you are among the many photo enthusiasts who have a good idea for a photography project but who need funding we advise you to read the following. The purpose of the TTF Grant is to support financially photography projects that portray the world in a positive way.
Purpose Since 2001, we have been working on assignments in more than 42 countries and we know how difficult funding photography projects can be. Our tenet is that the world is a wonderful place. The world is teeming with beautiful and uncontaminated nature, positive angles, happy stories, fine traditions and positive people. The more we respect the world the more we will take care of it. We support photographers that help convey this specific message with images. You may also want to read more about our mission and our vision.
The Wadi Gemal Desert. Two Dutch archeologists showed us an ancient Roman village which no-one had visited for more than 2000 years. This storage chamber was most likely a part of the kitchen facilities. The world is truly a fascinating place, but we know how difficult funding photography projects can be. Anyone with an interest in photography can apply for our grant, e.g. individuals, associations, and clubs. A passion and talent for photography is important. However, we also emphasize creativity, originality, and the ability to see and portray the world in a new way using images. The TTF Grant is distributed on a yearly basis. We will support photography projects that open the eyes of the audience to the fact that the world is friendly, accessible, and fascinating. We will support projects that promote brotherly understanding and acceptance and understanding of nature. For instance: a photographer who wishes to travel to the Andes in order to inform about a specific cultural arrangement; a class of pupils who want to use images to document how the blackbird survives winter; a photo club with an idea for a different photo series about the importance of public transport for the continued existence of small towns.
What Can Grant Funds Be Used For? The photographer, or the photographers, who receive the grant decides how to use the funds. The only demands we make is that the expense covered is related to the photo project in question and that it can be documented. Whether you are buying camera equipment, a new pc, plane tickets, a new pair of hiking boots, or whether the funds are spent on reproducing images at the conclusion of the project is up to the applicant to decide.
The Amount In 2010 we will support a photography project with a total of DKK 10,000 (approx. USD 2,000).
The Deadline For Application We must, at the latest, receive the application on the first of November in the year you want to benefit from our grant. We will select an applicant during November and pay the granted amount around the first of December. We will announce the applicant we have chosen on our homepage. If we are unable to find an applicant that we deem worthy we will not pay any funds that specific year.
The Application The application should be sent to the following address:
TTF ApS, Højrisvej 7, 8240 Risskov, Denmark. Please label the envelope: “TTF Grant”. The Application Must Contain the Following:
If one or more of the above items are left out, the application will not be valid. Do not reply by e-mail of by fax. We reserve the right to contact the applicant and ask for further information or documentation, et cetera.
Rights The photographer who receives our grant funds will naturally keep all rights of ownership to his project. However, TTF ApS reserves the right to publish an interview with the applicant as well as ten of the best photos from the project when it has been concluded. The photography project must, at the latest, be concluded 12 months after the grant funds have been paid.
