The Nikon D300 - Quality, Reliability, and Versatility

We almost always bring along the D300 for assignments at home and abroad. This camera has many of the same specifications as the D3, the difference is that it has a DX image sensor whereas the D3 has an FX image sensor. You will find more information on the difference between these two sensor types on the Nikon homepage. For our work we use the D300 as a backup and for underwater photography. This camera has the advantage of being significantly smaller and lighter than the D3.
