We retired the D2X in 2007. We have been very fond of this camera, but it has now been seriously outclassed by its big brother the D3.

The D2X – A Dependable Travel Companion.

Since the camera was marketed Casper Tybjerg has used the D2X on numerous assignments. It has followed him from the bottom of the sea to the highest mountains and it has never failed or proven unreliable even once. Our D2X camera housing has received quite a few blows on our travels. It has shot wild sharks by coral reefs, camels in sandy deserts, and sled dogs in the freezing cold. It can, however, also shoot beautiful sunsets.

 D2X, 200-400mm VR

The D2X is in every way a remarkable camera. Colour rendering, construction, precision, and stability are all top of the line. We are continually amazed by the quality of photos shot with the D2X whenever we see them in print in magazines or in books.
Our D2X has given us more than 50.000 smashing digital images and it still has not shown any signs of ageing. However, if the day arrives when we need to retire it we shall do so with the greatest respect.
