When Light Is Problematic
We rarely use filters, sometimes there is, however, no getting around using them.
We might use an ND filter when there is too much available light for shooting with slow shutter speeds; a UV filter in mountainous areas where reflected light or very powerful light is a problem; or a polarising filter when we want to really emphasise colours.
For these purposes we have a several filter types to choose from, including polarising, UV, and ND filters.

The very strong colours of the sky and the rape field were created using the filter shown above.
