Backup – A Necessity

Professionally, there is nothing worse that can befall a photographer than losing all his photos. It has been said that ‘real men don’t do backup, they just cry really often’.  And this is actually  true.

Backing up your photos is absolutely necessary. We back up our photos on external hard disks with different capacities, e.g. 500 GB, 1,000 GB (1 terabyte = TB) and 2 TB. We mainly use hard disks produced by LaCie. We store our backup photos and our original photos at two different addresses in order to safeguard them from fire or burglary.
