The Overwhelming Interest In Photography
Ever since digital photography was born, we at TFF have received numerous communications asking us to offer courses in photography. So far, we have received more than a thousand e-mails with questions on photographic methods, technical questions, and questions on how we work when we make photos. Perhaps one of them was yours?
We have also received many questions about work experience with TTF, of becoming a trainee, and about the possibility of participating in one of our assignments abroad. From day one the interest has been overwhelming, and it shows no sign of abating.
We publish books on photography, we give lectures on photography, and we manage workshops in Denmark and abroad. Despite these initiatives we receive more and more questions and requests, all of them highly relevant. Just recently, there has been a huge increase in the number of communications we have received. For this reason we have launched THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY. For the first time ever it is now possible for a hobby photographer to receive a certificate that documents his skills.
By following a TTF School of Photography course you may become the holder of the unique TTF (A.L.) certificate. Becoming a holder of this certificate will make you part of a creative network. Along with the certificate come many benefits that will make it easier to plan and manage photographic outings in Denmark as well as abroad.
The Philosophy of Our School
Shooting astonishing photos is not a skill that is reserved for professional photographers. Our plan with THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY is to give everyone with an interest in photography the opportunity to take pictures that are equal to professional photos. Using the right combination of easily accessible theory and practical exercises we manage, in relatively short time, to lift people with an interest in photography to a level that it would normally require several months of experience to reach. The digital revolution is the reason why this is possible.
We are experts at communicating technical knowledge that is usually difficult to access. The methods we use are tried and tested. We know they are efficient because we have witnessed the results again and again, and because previous participants in our courses have told us so.
That is why we are willing to grant a certificate to those participants who meet the requirements.
Our Purpose
With THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY is to create a forum where everyone with an interest in photography may meet, gain an insight into professional methods, develop their skills, inspire and become inspired, receive feed-back on their photos, and finally become certificate holders.
The Structure of Our Courses
THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY consists of a series of courses that vary in difficulty and focus. The courses are described in detail below.
TTF PRIMARY LEVEL (P.L.)
The basic course.

TTF ADVANCED LEVEL (A.L.)

SPECIALISED COURSES
We are working on a series of specialised courses of a duration of one or two days. These courses will be available from spring 2008. These courses are of interest to those who desire to gain a profound insight into highly specialised topics such as macro photography, portrait photography or rainforest photography. Some specialised courses are available to everyone with an interest in photography while others are available only to holders of the TTF (A.L.) certificate.
WORKSHOPS ABROAD
In years to come we are planning to hold photography workshops at exciting locations abroad. These workshops will focus on different topics (safaris, alpine photography, rainforests, et cetera) and will be held once or twice a year. Our workshops will be held at carefully selected extremely photogenic locations that we have found satisfactory in the past and where we have contacts.
Possible discounts: if you hold the TTF Advanced Level (A.L.) certificate you may be eligible for discounts on some of our photography workshops abroad.

YOU WILL LEARN EFFICIENTLY
We have compressed more than ten years of experience with photo production into short intensive photography workshops. We have developed the teaching materials ourselves. Consequently, we can guarantee that it is both relevant and effective. We aim to communicate useful knowledge to the participants in our courses and workshops as efficiently as possible.
OUR CONCEPT IS UNIQUE
No other school offers the theoretical and practical subject matter of a TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY course.
Together with the participants in our courses and workshops we immediately put theoretical knowledge to practical use. In this way, we ensure that newly acquired knowledge is not forgotten. We challenge the participants in our courses both at the theoretical level and at the practical level. When teaching, we increase the level of difficulty gradually in order to ensure that no-one loses their motivation.
INSPIRATION
Participating in a photography workshop held by THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY is always a great source of inspiration. We do away with lengthy and tedious PowerPoint presentations. Instead, we make activity, practical challenges, and exciting experiences part of the learning process. In general, the participants in our courses are inspired to the point that they find it hard to put down the cameras when the workshop has ended. If there is one single thing that helps create exciting photos it is inspiration.
NETWORKING
After a course, the majority of the participants choose to stay in touch with their fellow course participants. When you work as a photographer it is essential to be part of a network where you can ask questions and where you can receive feed-back on your photos. Some of the participants in our courses have arranged their own photography excursions or have founded photography groups.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Any information given to THE TTF SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY during a workshop stays in the proper forum. We do not pass on any information or photos, and we do not make any statements concerning our customers or projects. We will gladly refer to people who have participated in our workshops or the photos they have produced, but we never do so without their consent.
